This is a visual novel, which used Unity, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effect and a plugin called Fungas. Through the game, the player will be put in the shoe of a teenage girl and interact with the other love interests, to learn about their "weakness" and feel sympathetic for them. In which, I hope that player will learn that people should be able to their "weakness", and they don' need to hide or forced to be perfect in every parts of them, especially in the Asian culture.
This game sets in 2060, which Japanese government started to promote and carry out the policy that parents who want to have children, can choose to customize their children through changing DNA from the stage of embryo, so that more new born can have better intelligence, appearance or specific skill, etc.
Through the popularisation of the policy after twenty years, more people started to think the one who aren’t “perfect” and have ”defect” or “weakness”, are patients need to be healed or corrected. The government set up the center “” for those patients to have peer life with others who are usually their friends or someone they know, and take theory for free or supported with government’s funding on the official health center, so that they can attract more people to use the programme.
And this center, Fullmoon Center will offer both mental and physical health care with a number of professional staffs in related fields, who gives patients fully care from mental therapy to medicine. In the meanwhile, patients can continue with their normal life. If patients agree, they can change the themselves to become a "perfect" person. And the slogan is “We Bring Perfect to Life.”
This is a short walkthrough of an incomplete project for one of my university assignment, which is about a girl's journey on facing her and her love interests' weakness as a human nature. It's planned to have a least one ending for each of the 4 love interests, but the asset, Fungus crashed some of my storyline. The duration of current game is about one hour.
Reminder: Apart from background music, background and sound effect, all the visual and editing is created by me.
The presentation powerpoint used Microsoft PowerPoint, which shown the basic information of the inspiration, brainstorming, sketch of the characters and UI design and the sample of the game. Since I'm building a dating sims visual novel, I choose my favourite and the most popular Otome game company, Otomate, as the inspiration. In which, their common romance comedy visual novel used the color pink as their main tone, including Cupid Parasite, Variable Barricade and Lover Pretend. So I used pink as my game theme color, and used on the background, main protagonist and the UI frequently.
