S'KIN AGEL is a side branch of My Exercise Shop, which focuses on crafting our own high-end skincare, health and beauty products to embody an aesthetic heavenly feminine charm, including tea, food supplements, toner pads and face & body soap, etc.
I’m responsible for creating the illustration elements for our brand and packaging designs for our first-launching products, Black Sugar Ginger Date Tea, Stretchable Facial Toner Pad , and Collagen Gummies, among others.
Black Sugar Ginger Date Tea
To create a girly and luxury aesthetic, I drew cherry blossoms in Adobe Photoshop that represent our brand in a watercolour style. For the front of the design, we're inspired by the layout of traditional Chinese literature covers, which places the title on the top right vertically, uses gold colour for the text and sometimes has plants surrounding the design. It also fits the origin of tea production, China and the concept's origin, jujube tea (red date tea), China and Korea. This is also why we present the title in Chinese and Korean.
To continue the aesthetic of the brand and package design, I used the same cherry blossom, font colours and visual elements on the cotton pad design. For the title name, we combined Chinese and Arabic for the "cotton pad (棉片)", because the cotton pad is manufactured in China, and it's known that cotton cultivation is significant in the Middle East. Besides, we create the package design upside down and leave a space for tapping in the back, which allows users to stick their box on their toilet wall or cabinet to take out toner pads easily.
Food Supplement Gummies
I used the same layout and colour palette to continue the aesthetic. For the collagen gummies, I used the pink and white palette because most of the collagen products in the skincare & beauty industries used pink as their packaging. Also, these gummies may help to brighten skin, so we used the white background version instead of the brown and light yellow for the glutathione collagen gummies. For the NAD+ capsule, I used a white background to let the cherry blossom have a fading effect with the white base plastic bottle. I also added DNA visual elements under the cherry blossom, because NAD+ may help to support DNA repair and cell regeneration.
Moroccan Hand-made Saffron/Sulphur Face & Body Soap
We used the English brand logo and Arabic, instead of Chinese, for the product name this time, because the soap is made in Morocco. For the cherry blossom illustrations, I added bright yellow anther filaments, which complement the yellow colour in the soap. I also added the saffron flower for the saffron soap and sulphur crystal for sulphur soap on the logo to differentiate these similar-looking soaps.
